Put those sugar-coated marshmallows treats to good use by joining in on AL.com's 2014 Peeps in Pop Culture contest. You'll have to hurry though! The competition ends this Friday.
Basically, we're looking for photos, dioramas and videos capturing your favorite moments in pop culture using Peeps -- create a movie parody, depict your favorite song using Peeps or dress Peeps up like your favorite celebrity. The rules of the contest are relatively simple. Keep it clean, and make sure there are more Peeps than people in your entry. Otherwise, let your creative juices flow.
We'll be accepting submissions through Friday. Once closed, a panel made up of our staff will select five finalists, which will then be voted on by readers. Peeps prize packages, provided by Just Born, will be awarded to first, second and third place.
You can email your photos or videos to , and a member of our staff will upload them for you. Just be sure to include in your email message a description of what's going on in the photos or videos you attach.If you're a smartphone user, you can send your submissions through one of our apps. Download the free AL.com app for or . Once you're in the app, click "More" in the bottom right, and you should see the option to submit photos on the following screen.
If you choose to upload the photos later to AL.com yourself, you'll need a free AL.com account. You can sign up at . Then to go and click "Upload photo." You need to give your photo a title and a caption. And for gallery, select "2014 Peeps in Pop Culture Submissions." If you want to upload additional photos in the same step, click the blue link that says "Add another image" and repeat. Then click the orange upload button and you're done!
If you're uploading videos, go to and fill in the same fields as you would for a photo. Then select "Entertainment" as the primary category and leave the additional category blank. Follow the prompts to complete your upload.
