    Photography of The Spectacular

This is a featured Month of Photography LA Event, bG Gallery at Bergamot Station will present the second part of bG’s Art of the Spectacular Series, an exhibit of visionary photographers capturing and creating spectacle in their work.

An excepted and major part of mainstream film and video games, the spectacle has its roots in fine art as evidenced in romantic and surrealist compositions. Coming full circle, with art influencing film and video, these new medias have in turn influenced spectacular scenes in contemporary art works.

The photographers in this exhibit have called on past influence, new media, and internal psychology to create awe inspiring works through this theme.
