2008 Spring MicroSoccer Program

Sponsored by the Scarsdale Youth Soccer Club (SYSC)

 

Eligibility: Kindergarten through 2nd grade boys and girls who either live in or attend a school in Scarsdale, including IHM.

 

Dates: Seven Sunday sessions – April 13, 27  / May 4, 11, 18 / June 1, 8  (There are NO rain dates). In case of inclement weather, call the SYSC WeatherPhone at 914 232-5085

 

Location & Time:  Scarsdale Middle School

Kindergarten Girls:                Noon1:00pm                  

Kindergarten Boys:               1:00 – 2:00pm

1st Grade Girls:                     2:00 – 3:00pm

1st Grade Boys:                    3:00 – 4:00pm

2nd Grade Girls & Boys:      4:00 – 5:15pm

 

Cost: $90 per player, this includes a youth size t-shirt. 

AFTER APRIL 13th THE REGISTRATION GOES TO $110.

There are no refunds for missed or cancelled sessions.

Equipment:  Players must wear shin guards and appropriate soccer shoes. They should also bring a soccer ball, kindergarten & 1st grade a #3 ball and 2nd grade a #4 ball, and a water bottle marked with their name.

 

Program Description: The Micro-Soccer Program will be conducted by Mark Silvester, Director of Training for the SYSC, along with professional instructors and high school players from the SYSC. The program is designed to be fun and to engender an early appreciation of the game. Approximately half the time will be devoted to developing fundamental skills and the balance to small-sided games in a Micro-Soccer format.
