As part of its production of the first-ever mariachi opera, Arizona Opera is hosting Hispanic Heritage Festival, a week of community events and discussions beginning Monday.
Events are free of charge and open to the public with the exception of the Friday night student dress rehearsal of “Cruzar la Cara de la Luna.”

Church Ave.6 p.m. Wednesday, “Spanish Music Up Close.” Leo Rich.6 p.m. Thursday, “The Cultural Exchange.” Leo Rich.7 p.m. Friday, Student Night at the Opera, open to Tucson-area students up to grade 12.
